I'm blogging from Logan Airport, awaiting my departure, which has been delayed by 20 minutes according to the board. Technically we should start boarding in about 10 minutes... but there is no plane here yet, so I am skeptical that the 2:15 departure time will hold.

I wonder if anyone else on this plane is heading to Terminus? Other than my roomies (clauclauclaudia and gatewaygirl), and mijan who used to live in the Boston area, I've never actually met anyone from this area who is going to this convention. Just a quick update from Terminus.

Had a slow, quiet morning. Starbucks (for chocolate, not coffee), then reading my book, then got in line for registration at noon. The line was really long but it moved really fast. I'm very impressed so far with this conference's organization and volunteer corps! Then off to the H/D Meetup.

The H/D Meetup was AWESOME!!! Big thanks to nqdonne, scarlet_malfoy and the other organizers who put together a really squeeeeee-inducing shindig. I met so many people from my flist! My brain is overloading! (Among those I met, off the top of my head... alisanne, themostepotente, twilightsorcery, [Unknown LJ tag], and lots and lots of others! I would have posted pictures except for the whole forgot-the-camera thing. dracofiend took a picture of us together though so hopefully she uploads it so I can link. :-)

I now have SO MANY Harry/Draco buttons. Between the ones in the H/D goody bag and the ones I won in the raffle, my badge string is almost covered.

One of the amazing things about meeting so many fans is that I can finally see the ETHNICITY of so many of my friends. I'm really amazed at how many other Asian-Americans are here. Science fiction/fantasy fandom is so much more diverse than it used to be already, but it really helps I think that the HP books are so inclusive. Put simply: I'm psyched.

Also, I sold 3 more copies of the zine. I just have to sell 7 more to break even on the whole shebang! Yeah!

Up next, a quick shower and then into my robes for the Welcoming Feast. Those of us in Brubu House (from the East) at Aeolian University are directed to meet our Head of House at 6:45 to go in to dinner together. I will swing by the merchant's room first, though...
